NSRH offers an ever-expanding array of programs and resources for professional nurses (LVNs, RNs, NPs, CNMs).
Between our Training in Abortion Care Residency and the Abortion Nursing Corps, NSRH is committed to providing our professional nurse members with clinical skills, career advancement opportunities, and education to effectively provide and expand sexual and reproductive health that is rooted in justice.
Training in Abortion Care Residency
The TAC Residency is a clinical training program for registered nurses to gain hands-on experience in abortion care as well as improve their capacity to be regional abortion advocates.
Training in Abortion Care Residency - California
The nation’s only abortion training residency designed specifically for nurses, the goal of this residency is to develop robust cohorts of nurses who are equipped to provide comprehensive SRH healthcare and advocate for expanded access in their communities. This version of the TAC Residency for California based nurses is brought to you by the Reproductive Health Service Corps (RHSC) and NSRH.
NSRH Education Series
NSRH members have free access to our education series which dissects a myriad of topics that impact community well-being, the systemic barriers nurses face while providing and advocating for sexual and reproductive health and justice, and practice changes grounded in reproductive justice. These series consist of live webinars and provide a space for learning with leading nurses and nursing partners focused on reproductive justice and sexual and reproductive health. Non-NSRH Members are welcome to join at a fee.
Abortion Nursing Corps
NSRH’s Abortion Nursing Corps is a program that refers registered nurses to independent abortion clinics for short-term, travel nurse contracts. Abortion nurses have dedicated their careers to bodily autonomy and justice, yet many are now living in states where clinical abortion is no longer available. Post-Roe, patients are receiving care in concentrated locations and clinics need additional staff to ensure they can continue to provide this critical service. The Abortion Nursing Corps program retains the immense knowledge of abortion nurses by providing nurses with job opportunities and clinics with the necessary staff–all of which ultimately supports patients’ access to high-quality abortion care.
